Easter begins with tears. Jesus meets Mary in her grief and asks, Why are you weeping? not to dismiss her sorrow, but to reveal that death no longer has the final word. Then he asks Whom are you seeking?, redirecting her longing toward the living Christ. The risen Christ meets us in grief, redirects our searching, calls us by name, and turns mourners into witnesses of new life. Resurrection does not erase our pain; it transforms our seeking. What we seek in despair we discover in relationship with the risen Jesus.
