We’re looking for a Facilities Manager who is passionate about stewardship, excellence, and equipping others to serve. The Facilities Manager provides hands-on leadership and oversight of our Chula Vista campus with the goal of creating and maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and purpose-driven environment that supports the mission and vision of our church.
This role is essential to the smooth operation of weekly ministry activities and special events by ensuring the campus is fully functional, well-prepared, and proactively maintained at all times.

Reports to: Properties Specialist and Associate Location Pastor
Level: $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
Hours:- Sunday: Full Day (Service Focused)
- Monday: Full Day
- Tuesday: Full Day
- Wednesday: Full Day
- Thursday: Full Day (Seasonal: Church on Thursday)
- Friday: Day Off Unless Needed
- Saturday: Day Off Unless Needed

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports to Property Specialist and Associate Location Pastor. Will need to seek authorization for broad scope of projects, changes, or repairs outside of the budget.
SCOPE & DIMENSIONS:
Oversees all facilities operations across the Chula Vista campus to ensure ministry spaces are clean, safe, and fully functional for weekly services and special events. Supervises full-time and part-time facilities staff, manages vendor relationships, and ensures budgets and resources are used effectively. Interacts regularly with pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, vendors, and guests to support a welcoming environment and the overall mission of EastLake Church.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and own the system and structure that enables weekly ministry to run smoothly.
- Assist preschool with repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Supervise and develop a team of full-time and part-time facilities staff who execute set up, clean up, open up, and lock up for all church activities.
- Manage outside vendors and contracts for cleaning, landscaping, HVAC, security, and more.
- Solve pressing and preventative facility problems in a timely manner.
- Monitor facilities budgets and ensure work stays within resources.
- Build and develop a ministry team using the Leadership Ladder.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to self-lead efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to plan and execute a workflow of personnel and calendared ministry activities.
- Ability to interact with and manage outside vendor relationships and work.
- Ability to manage a budget and spending within that budget.
- Ability to lead, develop, and organize a team of FT and PT facilities staff.
- Ability to communicate clearly with those up, down, and across the organizational chart.
- Ability to recruit and care for volunteers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Additional duties as assigned.
- A professing Christian with deep commitment to living out biblical principles and actively participating in a local Bible-believing church.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Some flexibility (as agreed upon by the supervisor), but primarily on-site during work hours.
- Office, computer, and other resources as needed.
- Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.).
- Basic maintenance skills required to ensure the property is in good working order (basic plumbing, handiwork, machinery operation, etc.).

- As a staff person at Eastlake Community Church, I agree to abide by all the provisions of the Employee Handbook.
- The Church reserves the right, at any time, with or without notice, to alter or change job responsibilities, reassign or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities.
- This position is classified by the Church as a Full-Time paid position and is Exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in Employee Handbook.
